教学难点：较准确读出各单词，尤其是crayon，eraser 两个单词的发音。
教学过程
1 .热身、复习 (warm-up/revision)
(1)播放英语歌"hello"的录音，让学生跟着录音演唱。
（2）请几个学生戴上sarah, wu yifan等人物的头饰，两人一组打招呼问候：hello, sarah! hi, wu yifan!
（3）让学生之间互相打招呼问候（用之间的英文名字或中文名字）。
(4）将学生分组进行自我介绍。
2 .呈现新知 (presentation)
（1）利用课件呈现新知
本册教材主要人物之一“小棕熊”的生日，一群朋友聚集在生日蛋糕的周围。教师通过图片指引学生说出今天是“小棕熊”的生日，让学生们一起唱英文生日歌，并提示“happy birthday to you”是“祝你生日快乐”的意思。教师介绍“小棕熊”的爸爸、妈妈为他买了个新书包作为生日礼物（拿出准备好的实物）。
小棕熊打开书包，一一拿出铅笔、钢笔、尺子、橡皮、蜡笔，边拿文具边说英文pencil、pen、 ruler、eraser、crayon。文具展示出来后停留在画面上，不消失。
（2）学习新知
在初步了解新知后，教师给学生出示文具，教新单pencil、pen、 ruler、eraser、crayon。教学时，如果遇到有的学生能力较强，可充分发挥学生的潜能，在老师指导下由学生教学生，学生检查学生。（教学时特别注意crayon，eraser 两个单词的发音，对于多音节单词，教师应语速略放慢，待学生较好掌握后改为正常语速）
（3）游戏 show me your…
教师说单词，如pencil 一词，教师边说show me your pencils. 边示范。这样，用同一种方法练习其他4个单词。

（1）小组竞赛
将学生分为两大组，每组每次选一名选手上讲台前，一个学生先看一下某张卡片，记住上面画的是什么。将卡片画面扣在桌子上， 让另一名学生猜卡片画的是什么。 “an eraser?” “a ruler?” “a pencil?” “a pen?” “a crayon?”如果猜对了，第一位学生答“yes”，如果没有猜对，第一位学生答 “no”。
（2）猜词游戏
继续小组竞赛，将crayon, pencil, 等文具放在一个大盒子里，请一名学生选一种文具，攥在手中放于背后，让其他学生猜是什么，猜对者为小组赢得一分。

二、播放音频。
