i am ruby. i’m 13. now let me tell you something about my weekend.
i often read books, do housework and play sports on the weekend. but last sunday was my grandma’s birthday. so i bought presents for my grandma on saturday morning. then i went to the bookstore in the afternoon. i like reading story-books. i found them very interesting. so i bought some story-books and a notebook. then i went home.
on sunday morning i visited my grandparents with my parents. we went shopping together. in the afternoon we went fishing. we had a big dinner in the evening. after dinner, we watched tv together. we were very happy.

从此以后，他就开始发奋地学习。每天晚上学到学校寝室关灯都还不肯休息，就在走廊里读上一个小时的单词。早上，不知他什么时候他又从温暖的被窝里爬了起来，把单词读了一个小时才到教室里去早读。
他开始对英语如痴如迷，空闲时都把单词挂在嘴边。英语似乎已经融入了他的生活里。如果英语一下子不存在的话，他就会像生了病一样。

今天，读了班主任发在家长群上的一篇人民日报——教育改革要从家长教育开始，这篇文章让我感受颇深文章开头就有一张图片，那张图片是一棵大树，那棵树有五个部位，分别代表孩子做人问题各方面的教育:树根代表家长教育;树干代表家庭教育;树枝代表学校教育;树叶代表社会教育;果实则代表孩子的成就。其中属根所代表的家长教育最为重要，无根何来果，家长的教育没做好，孩子哪里会有成就？其他的教育只是辅助。
家教是家长对孩子的言传身教，但家长对此几乎没有太多的重视。在孩子身上砸下重金，请家教老师，在外面补课，有些家长甚至还在孩子很小的时候，花巨资送孩子出国留学，表面上是为孩子做贡献，实则是不负责任。教育改革，首先应当从家长入手，让家长明白自己的责任，树立正确的人才观，培养出一个优秀的孩子。有的家长认为自己交钱给了学校，就是把孩子交给学校教育，与自己没啥干系。有的家长认为自己。忙，顾不得孩子，所以就时不时叮嘱孩子:“你要好好学习，以后不要像我一样，整天忙来忙去的。”这其实给孩子增加了诸多的压力，让孩子误认为他读书其实是为了父母。
家庭教育就是孩子生命成长的教育，就是让孩子们萌生会学习，善于学习，会生活，善于生活，会相处，善于相处的意识，并乐于去实践和探究。家庭教育，就是对“根”的教育，“心灵”的教育，只有“根壮”“心灵好”，状态好，才能“枝粗叶肥”，这恰是“庄稼养根，育人养心”！
让我感触最深的就是最后的“中国33条教育铁律”。如果每个家长都做到了那些教育铁律，我相信他们的孩子将来一定大有作为。
